We offer mobile disco hire, DJ, sound and lighting services, for companies, groups and individuals.

We offer the very best hire services in our field. We never settle for second best, and always have your satisfaction as our top priority. It’s who we are, and we are proud of it.

Greg is our most experienced DJ's now, having honed his craft over 20 years since a teenager and now presides over most of our events, sometimes training younger  DJ's for our future.  With his experience of every type of event, his ability of reading the crowd and exceeding your expectation is second to none, delivering all genres of music and interacting with your guests to deliver their requests within live mixing  of music tracks, and not using pre-recorded sets he can respond to you and your guests every need.

Who We Are

At SOFTSPOT we love what we do and it shows. With more than 40 years of experience in the field, SOFTSPOT DISCO knows our industry like the back of our hands. There’s no challenge too big or too small, and we dedicate our utmost energy to every event we take on. We use state-of-the-art music and lighting technology to create your event live. We do not use prerecorded dance sets. Our main DJ, Greg, currently DJ's in nightclubs, hotels and private parties.

Softspot originated in 1981 entertaining teenagers in schools and youth clubs. As these young supporters grew up they ventured into their 18th birthday parties, weddings and then later birthdays and anniversaries.  The business developed to include Cambridge University May Balls and corporate clients and with the introduction of Laserspot laser shows entered into fashion shows, car launches and outdoor firework displays.

Now relocated to Cornwall.

More about Greg, your DJ.

Greg joined joined Softspot as they entered the corporate market when they served Cambridge hotels for corporate Xmas events, providing music from the 60's to the current charts. Greg branched out on his own, first owning a light and sound shop in Newmarket, for the disco trade and then running his own disco business and DJ services for clubs, hotels, and private functions, after also owning and running his own pub.

Greg became very established in the Cambridge area, sensing the mood of the crowd and providing just the right music for the time of night and clientele and responding to requests.

Greg has recently relocated to Cornwall, the county he has always loved and visited and now making his new home, and is introducing his original love for traditional party music with his knowledge of the current chart and club music.

Any event is only as good as the presenter!
